Why consent your child into Christian RI?
Christian RI:
- Gives your child the opportunity to explore the beliefs and values of the Christian faith;
- Nurtures your child’s spiritual well-being;
- Contributes positively to your child’s broad and holistic education.
The key values of the Christian faith, such as care and compassion, respect and responsibility, align with the National Framework for Values Education. These values are embedded in the Christian RI curricula.
Christian RI instructors are skilled and competent. They undertake RI training and annual mandatory Department of Education training, and use contemporary methods of teaching.
You can consent your child into, or out of, Christian RI at any time. Simply email or write to your school principal.
HOW TO CONSENT YOUR
CHILD INTO CHRISTIAN RI
(RELIGIOUS INSTRUCTION)
If you would like your child to participate in Christian RI, follow the instructions below, whether your child is in primary school or secondary school.
Even if RI isn’t yet offered at your school, please consent your child into Christian RI to show your support for the program.
You do not need to attend church to choose Christian RI for your child.
WHEN YOU ARE FIRST ENROLLING YOUR CHILD INTO YOUR SCHOOL (Prep or any year level) fill in the Religious Instruction section in the Application for Student Enrolment Form like this:
AT ANY OTHER TIME (LIKE NOW) complete and send this to your school to consent your child into Christian RI.
